"All of humanity is part of the same family," says study author Yaniv Elrich, a geneticist and computer scientist at Columbia University (USA), who is also chief scientific officer of MyHeritage, the company that owns Geni.com. "According to mathematical theory, if each person could project 75 generations, we would complete the family tree of humanity, which would connect the entire world: from an aboriginal in Australia, through a European or African person, to an Eskimo in Alaska," Elrich explains.
