His 13 million relatives...

.............. Researchers from several US and Israeli institutions have taken advantage of data posted on the Internet by genealogy enthusiasts to trace the family relationships of 13 million people in a single family tree. The documentation of this large family spans an average of 11 generations, and their study, published in the journal Science, revealed new details about the influence of Western culture on the genetic diversification of human populations...............

............. "All of humanity is part of the same family," says study author Yaniv Elrich, a geneticist and computer scientist at Columbia University (USA), who is also chief scientific officer of MyHeritage, the company that owns Geni.com. "According to mathematical theory, if each person could project 75 generations, we would complete the family tree of humanity, which would connect the entire world: from an aboriginal in Australia, through a European or African person, to an Eskimo in Alaska," Elrich explains. "And 75 generations is not that much, it's about 2,000 years; I'm not talking about going back to prehistory," he clarifies....................
